The UL Lafayette School of Geoscience won the Technical Innovation Award at the 2020 AAPG Imperial Barrel Award competition.

The team, composed of Josh Cecil, Ricardo Penaloza, Samsideen Ajala, Natalie Helm, and Gage Hendrix spent eight weeks completing an integrated basin evaluation that earned them first place at the Gulf Coast competition.
Their findings were presented virtually again to a panel of industry experts at the international Imperial Barrel Award competition on June 6th.

The judges rewarded the technical quality of the team’s work, and our School couldn’t be prouder of them!
